FAQ - Evandale
Gently tap the filter on a hard surface to remove any loose dirt, then clean it with water. Don't use soap or cleaning products on the filter.
Regularly clean the transducer to prevent mineral buildup. Keep the air filter free of dust and debris by cleaning or replacing it periodically. Use distilled water in the water tank if possible to minimize mineral deposits, which can affect the Optimyst effect.
Troubleshooting - Evandale
This can happen when you first start the stove, but it will stop once it warms up. You can try opening the door slightly and turning down the flame effect
Ensure the water tank is full and properly seated, as the Optimyst effect relies on water mist to create the flame and smoke appearance. Make sure the transducer (mist generator) is fully submerged in water and seated correctly. If the issue persists, try cleaning the transducer and water tank, as buildup can affect performance.
Check if the water tank is low, as this can reduce the intensity of the effect. Also, check for blockages in the air filter and clean or replace it as necessary. Make sure the unit is placed in an area with adequate airflow for optimal performance.
This is often due to low water levels in the tank or air bubbles in the water tank or transducer area. Refill the water tank, making sure there are no air pockets. If the noise persists, check for buildup around the transducer and clean it.
Verify that the thermostat is set higher than the room temperature. If the thermostat is set correctly and the heater still doesn’t produce heat, ensure the vents are free of dust or obstructions, as blocked vents can cause the unit to overheat and automatically shut off the heater.
This can sometimes occur the first time the heater is used as it burns off any dust collected during storage. If the smell persists, unplug the unit and ensure it’s free from dust or debris. If the odour continues after cleaning, contact Dimplex support, as this could indicate a more serious issue.
Inspect the water tank to make sure it’s not cracked or damaged. Also, ensure it’s seated properly in the unit. Excess condensation can sometimes occur in areas with poor ventilation, so moving the unit to a well-ventilated area may help.
